The statues depicts the diminutive Saint Ignatius of Loyola (1491–1556) - founder of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits). The statue were washed using non-ionic detergent. Surface corrosion was minimized using Biox and soft brushes. Two applications of conservator’s hot wax treatment were administered, cooled and buffed.
Shelley Kolman Smith is a portrait and liturgical sculptor whose work grew from a long foundation in drawing and painting. Shelley is located in Texas and creates her art at her Flying Paint Brush Sculpture Studio, in Poetry Texas .
Saint Peter's Preparatory School is an independent, preparatory, and all-male day school located in Jersey City, New Jersey, within the Archdiocese of Newark. Founded in 1872 by the Jesuits, it is operated as part of the Jesuit East Province.
